Job Description

This position leads the operational support and maintenance of physical security systems across Gilead's enterprise locations. The manager will oversee access control, video management, visitor systems, and related technologies while coordinating with internal teams, site contacts, and external vendors to ensure reliability and performance. The role involves establishing service standards, managing preventive maintenance programs, and directing a small team of contract and vendor resources from the Foster City headquarters.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement enterprise service level agreements and performance metrics for security systems
• Own day-to-day operational support for access control, video management, and intrusion detection systems
• Lead preventive maintenance and lifecycle replacement programs to reduce downtime and improve reliability
• Manage security integrator performance including work quality, response times, and documentation
• Coordinate workload for internal support resources, contractors, and vendors to meet service levels

Requirements

• Experience supporting physical security systems in corporate or enterprise environments
• Expert knowledge of access control, video management, visitor management, intrusion detection
• Strong understanding of service operations, ticket management, and preventive maintenance
• Proven ability to manage security integrators, contractors, and vendors effectively
• Experience leading technical teams or coordinating cross-functional resources
• Strong analytical skills with ability to use metrics and reporting for improvement
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences
