Job Description
Job Summary (List Format):
- Support and maintain large-scale network environments, primarily in ISP, telecommunications, carrier, or service provider settings.
- Configure, troubleshoot, and optimize advanced routing and switching technologies, including BGP, OSPF, MPLS, and Layer 2/Layer 3 networking.
- Work with multiple routing platforms such as Cisco (ASR, Catalyst 9000 series), Juniper (MX series), and Nokia routing platforms.
- Lead and execute complex network implementations and migrations with minimal supervision.
- Develop and follow detailed technical documentation, including Methods of Procedure (MOPs) and implementation plans.
- Perform production changes, provide operational support during maintenance windows, and adhere to strict change management processes.
- Utilize strong troubleshooting and analytical skills to resolve network issues effectively.
- Support backbone/core network infrastructure and large-scale customer migrations.
- Ensure compliance with operational processes, including change management and network migration planning.
- Collaborate remotely with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
- Preferred certifications: CCNP and/or JNCIP, or equivalent experience.
- Experience with IPv4/IPv6, VLANs, and both Layer 2 and Layer 3 switching technologies.
- Strong background in environments with rigorous change management and documentation requirements.
